NetDog MMO game networking engine upgrades to version 1.5, providing greater scalability and performance
SAN FRANCISCO, CA, July 10, 2008: PX Interactive announced the release of version 1.5 of NetDog, the highly scalable, high performance engine for Massively Multiplayer Online Games. Version 1.5 represents improvements in the scalability, performance and ease of use for NetDog. Key enhancements include:
- Culling tools to reduce network traffic based on in-game distance and other factors
- Fault tolerancing and fail-over tools to ensure clients continue playing during server failures
- Seamless world support for massive worlds with free access across zones and regions
- Firewall punch-through to allow access to gamers behind home firewalls
- Improved user interface, including more intuitive APIs and added tools for flexibility
